ENID, OKLAHOMA -- Authorities are searching for an inmate reported missing from the Garfield County Work Release Center overnight Saturday.
Ricky Ray Smith was last seen at the 1 a.m. headcount. He is described as a 34-year-old white male with brown hair and green eyes. He is 6'1" tall, 165 pounds with tattoos on forearms, back and neck. The neck tattoos say "Fortune" and "Kansas City."
Enid Police believe Smith stole a 2003 Buick four-door gold sedan, Oklahoma tag 629AYR from a friend. Smith apparently visited the friend Friday night with Ruffner, saying he was out on a release program.
He apparently took the car keys that were on a table in the friend's living room then left in the Buick. The car has a dent on the driver's side fender near the door.
Smith and fellow inmate Casey Ruffner were discovered missing at 1:45 a.m. Ruffner returned to the facility at 6 a.m., was combative with staff, then arrested by Enid police officers.
