Standoff Ends After Suspect Arrested in North Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A police standoff ended without incident in northwest Oklahoma City Friday.

Officers were called to the home near Northwest 37th Street and Kentucky Avenue for a domestic disturbance. The woman caller told police Mark Maurice Stewart, 29, was armed and inside the residence with the children.

The standoff ended in less than an hour after Stewart was taken into custody.

Stewart faces charges of domestic abuse, pointing a firearm and four felony counts of possession of a firearm.
