OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma County's K-9 deputies received some new gear that will help keep them safe while on the job.

The non-profit group Vest 'N P.D.P. (Police Dog Protection) donated six bullet-proof vests to the Oklahoma County canines.

The group has helped more than 500 dogs in 40 states.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office said it is "grateful to this non-profit agency for this very generous gift that will protect all our K-9 deputies."
