EDMOND, Oklahoma -- An Edmond police officer is honored for saving the life of a man he freed from a burning home.

Officer Josh Pratt looked inside a home at 400 Timberlane Drive on April 24th and noticed a man sitting on the kitchen floor.

He pulled the man out of the house. But the man broke free and went back inside. Pratt went back inside to rescue the man again. It was later determined the man was on medication that caused him to be disoriented and confused.

Officer Pratt received the Medal of Valor yesterday for his heroic efforts to save this man.
