YUKON, Oklahoma -- Listen up ladies it time to grab your heels and take off for a good cause. The Stiletto Fun Run is this Friday.

Compassionate Hands, a non-profit organization, that offers assistance to those in need in the Yukon area, is holding the Stiletto Fun Run on May 7 at 6:30 p.m. on the Yukon High School Football Field, 1029 Garth Brooks Blvd.

The Fun Run is open to the entire family, with five races that range from 4-6 in. heels, flats, tennis shoes and a special class for men – a run in 2 in. + heels. A paired wheel barrel race, a three legged race and an obstacle course will also be included.

Participants in the event are required to donate a minimum of $50 to Compassionate Hands, or to secure sponsors for the amount. Those who are participating and raise $100 or more will receive recognition and a special prize. All participants will have the opportunity to win prizes as well.

Theresa Sanders, Director of Compassionate Hands said "We only have two fundraiser's each year, the Card Benefit and our booth at the Czech Festival. We just want to try something different that will appeal to a wider range of people. By making the Fun Run a success, we will be able to offer assistance to more people in the Yukon area."
