Sheriff's Detectives Seek Witnesses in Homicide

Cleveland County detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying who may have information in the death of a Norman man.

NORMAN, Oklahoma – Cleveland County detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying who may have information in the death of a Norman man.

The skeletal remains of Cory J. Bodily "Stone," were found by detectives in January 2009. Detectives were searching the roadway near the land where a skull had been found on December 25, 2008, when they discovered the remains of a male subject later identified as Bodily.

Detectives are seeking information from anyone who may have been with Bodily or may have seen anyone with Bodily on or about July 30, 2008, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Bodily was last seen alive on July 30, 2008 at about 10 a.m. when he was seen picking up his paycheck from the Taco Bell located on W. Lindsay Street in Norman.

"We need help identifying who killed Mr. Bodily," said Cleveland County Sheriff Lester. "We want to bring the person or persons responsible for his death to justice and bring an end to the pain and suffering they have caused his family."

Anyone with information about Cory J. Bodily or information regarding his activities on July 30, 2008, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. are encouraged to call Cleveland County Detectives at (405) 321-8600 or the Cleveland County TIPS line at (405) 366-5787.
