Storms Roll Across Oklahoma, Knock Out Power

The number of power outages in Oklahoma following strong storms in the state is now below 150.

ENID, Oklahoma -- The number of power outages in Oklahoma following strong storms in the state is now below 150.

No injuries were reported following the storms and high winds that moved into western Oklahoma early Friday and traveled northeastward and out of the state by Friday afternoon.

Oklahoma Gas and Electric reported nearly 4,000 outages immediately after the storms. More than 3,400 of the outages were in Enid where the National Weather Service said a wind gust of about 80 miles per hour was recorded at Vance Air Force Base.

By early OG&E was reporting on its Web site 141 outages, all in Enid.
