Thousands of Fans Cheer Oklahoma City Thunder to Victory

Thousands of fans packed the Ford Center and downtown Oklahoma City to cheer on the Thunder to their first playoff victory.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- It was a flood of blue in Bricktown as Oklahoma City hosted its first ever NBA playoff game.

Thousands of fans arrived to watch the Oklahoma City Thunder take on the Los Angeles Lakers in game three of the series. Many of them spent Thursday evening at a celebration for fans in front of the Ford Center.

The Thunder beat out the Lakers in game three Thursday night 101-96.

Ticket hopefuls began lining up at the Ford Center early Thursday afternoon. Through a lottery system, 100 pairs of Loud City tickets were raffled. The first 25 numbers pulled were given a complimentary pair of tickets, while the remaining 75 numbers had the opportunity to buy two $15 tickets at the box office.

A host of Thunder NBA Playoffs merchandise and apparel was available at the Thunder Shop at Leadership Square as well as the Thunder Shop location at the Ford Center on game nights. Items included T-shirts, hat, pennants, pins, commemorative basketballs and more.

The games Thursday and Saturday will be broadcast nationally on TNT and regionally on FOX Sports Oklahoma (Cox 37, HD 722) and can be heard on the Thunder Radio Network, led by WWLS-FM (98.1).
