Hearing Set for Oklahoma Doctor Charged in Son's Death

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 4 for a suburban Oklahoma City doctor charged in the stabbing death of his 9-year-old son.

Fifty-one-year-old Dr. Stephen Paul Wolf of Nichols Hills is charged with first-degree murder in the Nov. 16 stabbing death of Tommy Wolf in the kitchen of their home.

The hearing is to determine if there is enough evidence for Wolf to be tried on the charge.

Wolf's attorney has declined to comment on the case.

A police affidavit says Wolf was found straddling his son when officers arrived and that he told police "He's got the devil in him and you know it."

Wolf was found mentally competent for trial at a hearing in January.
