OKLAHOMA CITY -- Dozens braved the wet weather to cheer on the Thunder as they get ready to take on the Lakers in Los Angeles for game one on Sunday.

As the party kicked off, most were ready for the rain while others could have cared less.

"It's great being out in this. It's a great thing, great atmosphere," said Mike Montgomery, Oklahoma City Thunder fan.

Fans attending the city's first ever Fanfest said Oklahoma City and the Thunder have accomplished a goal they thought they'd never see.

"I think just the whole playoff deal and everything has been just really exciting," said Doug Yaholar Jr., Oklahoma City Thunder fan. "I think it's been a surprise. I don't think anyone predicted the kind of record we've had."

But the one thing the Thunder predicted was fan support, and the team said the Fanfest event was for them.

"I think you're going to have fans out here today in 20 years say, 'Do you remember that day just before the Thunder went to their first playoffs? We went out and it was raining. Remember you were just a little kid then?' We're making memories," said Dan Mahoney, Oklahoma City Thunder.

Games one and two are in Los Angeles. Games three and four are at the Ford Center next Thursday and Saturday.
