ALTUS, Oklahoma - A former soldier and part-time Olustee police officer has been sentenced to life in prison for killing a southwest Oklahoma bar owner.

Twenty-4-year-old Joshua Dylan Lusk was sentenced Thursday in Jackson County District Court after pleading guilty to first-degree murder in the May 2009 shooting death of 50-year-old Andy White. White was killed during a robbery of his bar in Eldorado.

Investigators say Lusk stole a gun from the Olustee Police Department's evidence safe and used it to kill White.

Lusk was arrested after investigators found some of the stolen money in his barracks at Fort Sill.
