Edmond Police Take Woman into Custody Without Incident After Standoff

EDMOND, Oklahoma -- Edmond Police said an armed woman was threatening to harm herself while blocking the train tracks near Covell Road and Broadway Avenue Thursday night.

Police said they had to stop a train in the area.

Police said they were able to take the woman into custody without incident after several hours.

The woman was taken to a mental hospital.

Her name has not been released.
