CHICKASHA, Oklahoma -- The government is stepping in to help those who've been laid off from a Chickasha company in the past two years.

Workers from Chickasha Manufacturing Company are now eligible for the federal Trade Readjustment Assistance program. It's available to those who lost hours or lost their job because of increased imports or production shifts out of the country.

The federal program provides services such as income support, relocation and job search allowances and health coverage tax credits.

All workers of the company who were laid off on or after June 28, 2008 through March 15, 2012 are eligible to apply.
