NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Norman police are looking for two suspects of a home invasion in the Woodcreek neighborhood on Southeast 12th Avenue near East Lindsey Avenue.

Police said the incident happened at a home in the 1800 block of Parkridge Drive on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, one of the suspects rang the door bell at the home. The resident looked out and saw a man holding a bouquet of roses. Thinking it was some king of fundraiser, he opened the door.

"The second individual he didn't see was also outside, had a gun. They both came inside the apartment and bound the victim and another individual, a friend that was in the house, ransacked the apartment, and left," said Norman Police Capt. Tom Easley.

The two men stole cash and credit cards, which they quickly used to run up over $2,000 in charges. They did, however, leave behind the roses.

Police said using flowers as a ruse to gain entry is pretty unique, but they recalled a similar case last year. Police said they caution resident if you get an unexpected delivery, ask for identification, and if you're still in doubt, call 911 before you open the door.

The victims were able to free themselves and call police. Neither victim was injured.

One suspect is described as a light-skinned black male in his late 20s with dreadlocks and the other is described as a black male in his late 20s with short hair and facial hair.

Anyone with information should call Norman police at 405-321-1600.
