ENID, Oklahoma -- Enid police said a 17-year-old girl has been arrested for allegedly hurting a child she was babysitting.
Officers said the teen, whose name wasn't released, was arrested Tuesday on a complaint of injury to a minor child.
According to a news release, police say the teen told a detective she was babysitting 22-month-old Evelynn Brown and two other children March 23 when she became frustrated that Evelynn wouldn't stay in bed and kept wanting her mother.
Police said the girl admitted pushing Evelynn in the back, causing her to fall and strike her face on the kitchen floor.
Photos of Evelynn's injuries showed swelling and redness on one side of her face. She was treated at a local hospital and released.
The teenager was taken to a juvenile detention facility.
