OKLAHOMA CITY -- Hobby Lobby is best known for its craft supplies, but now company owners are working to create a national Bible museum to share the history of faith.
The museum will be filled with thousands of artifacts and Bibles from the time of Abraham to the present.
Hobby Lobby has a vast collection of Bibles and many other ancient religious books, including one of the earliest near-complete Bibles in the world. Company officials said they hope to share their collection with others through the development of the National Bible Museum.
"To have a location that would tell the history of the Bible, that would share how we have acquired the Bible, and just the stories of the Bible are fascinating in themselves, and the impact they've had on society at large is a story we felt like was worth telling," said Hobby Lobby President Steve Green.
Right now, Hobby Lobby and the National Bible Museum are taking a look at potential sites.
