Deadly House Fire Investigated in Southwest Oklahoma City
OKLAHOOMA CITY – Oklahoma City firefighters are investigating a deadly house fire in southwest Oklahoma City.
Neighbors called in the house fire at 928 SW 34th Street.
Police said when firefighters arrived, they found the victim, a woman, outside in the front yard. Police said family members who were not home at the time of the fire dragged the victim outside the house.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but police say it was contained to the mattress of a bed inside one of the bedrooms which is why investigators were called in.
"The fire engrossed so it leads us to believe that maybe there is
more to it. It could be more to it but it's at least worth investigating," said Oklahoma Police Lt. Don Holland.
The victim's name has not been released.
