Oklahoma City Firefighters Battle House Fire

LUTHER, Oklahoma – Oklahoma City firefighters battled a house fire on the northeast side of the metro near Luther.

The fire was reported at 17701 N.E. 192nd Street near Peebly Road off Route 66. Smoke was rising from the roof of the home.

"It doesn't look suspicious. Probably some type of malfunction with the heater or something like that. The fire was contained to the attic so it's pretty much the only source of ignition in that area," said Oklahoma City Fire Chief Kirk Wright.

No injuries were reported. The homeowners were not home at the time of the fire.
