OKLAHOMA CITY -- Cool Canadian air has been in control of Oklahoma weather for the past several days. Of course, that has been in combination with a large upper level low pressure area that is now beginning to move east of the United States east coast. However, more storm systems are in our future.
Expect cold mornings and cool afternoons through Wednesday, then just a bit warmer on Thursday. Friday will be very windy out of the south with thunderstorms Wednesday evening and overnight. A few severe thunderstorms are possible.
Turning sharply colder Friday night and Saturday with rapidly falling temperatures and rain/thunder storms changing over to snow, ending later on Saturday.
This storm has the potential to produce heavy snow across northwest and north central Oklahoma. It is not out of the question that central Oklahoma will also receive snow.
