OKLAHOMA CITY -- Teachers arrived at Villa Teresa Catholic School Monday morning in southwest Oklahoma City to find classrooms in shambles, obscenities on the boards, a TV missing and the bathrooms a wreck.
"They're horrible. They're hatred. Not only religiously based, but racial," Villa Teresa School Principal Sister Veronica Higgins said of the graffiti.
This is the sixth time vandals have targeted the school since November and the damage is getting worse.
"It's a shame because the little ones expected to come and play today; it's Spring Break and we still serve our working parents," Sister Higgins said.
Vandals last week destroyed garden statues, damaged the swimming pool cover and threw acid on windows, doors and water fountains.
"If you know little ones they put their mouths on everything, so we're a little concerned. We're approaching not just physical damage, but possibly to human beings," Sister Higgins said.
"This has never happened. I've been here 21 years and this year is the first time," said teacher Mary Burdett.
Police are searching for evidence in their efforts to catch the culprits. Two suspects were caught in surveillance video. Investigators don't know yet if the two young men are responsible for all of the break ins, but the pictures give them a place to start.
You're asked to call police if you know anything about the destruction or recognize the suspects.
