OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol showed off their new look on Friday that will save the agency thousands of dollars.
OHP recently purchased new all black Dodge Chargers. By going with solid black instead of the usual two-tone paint job, the Department of Public Safety said the agency saved about $700 per vehicle allowing OHP to expand their fleet.
"With the number of vehicles the agency is purchasing this year, we're going to be able to get about four more vehicles for the same money," said Oklahoma Highway Patrol Capt. Chris West.
The new cruisers hit the road in mid to late summer.
