TULSA, OK -- A fugitive's escape from justice came to an end at the Tulsa downtown bus station Thursday evening.

Logan Lake, 26, is a suspect wanted for an Indiana homicide. He hopped on board a bus bound for Tulsa.  Little did he know that Tulsa Police and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol would be there to greet him after Indiana State Police asked OHP for help.

Heavily-armed officers set an ambush for Lake at the downtown Greyhound station, 4th and Detroit. Officers say Lake had no idea authorities were waiting for him when he arrived.

"We only had a very, very short period of time to plan how we were going to apprehend him, and we felt it was safest for the general public to let everyone get off the bus," said Tulsa Police Sgt. Michael Brown.

Witnesses say they saw Lake shoot a man in the back after a drug deal.
