OKLAHOMA CITY -- Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. announced they will provide free and reduced-cost health care to employees.

The privately-held retail company announced the opening of its new health and wellness center.

TheCLINIC will be open to all full-time Hobby Lobby employees as well as to employees of affiliated companies at Hemispheres, Crafics, Etc! and Mardel.

Employees covered under Hobby Lobby's health insurance plan will receive free medical care. Those not covered pay a $30 office visit fee through a payroll deduction.

"I'm afraid some of our employees aren't going to the doctor out of cost and with a free clinic here for those with insurance, it will save them money as well as Hobby Lobby," said CEO and founder David Green.

Hobby Lobby operates more than 430 arts and crafts stores in 35 states.
