German Man Who Infiltrated OKC Police Force Indicted

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A German man who infiltrated the Oklahoma City police department faces federal charges.

According to an indictment, Maziar Golchehr, 27, lied to police and the FBI when he told them he was part of an elite German police force. Officers allowed Golchehr to train with them even though he's in the country illegally.

A federal grand jury indicted him for unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition and making false statements to law enforcement agents.

If convicted, Golchehr could receive up to 10 years in federal prison, a fine of up to $250,000 and forfeiture of the firearm and ammunition.
