Tulsa Police: Drug Deal Leads To Shooting

TULSA, OK -- A 21-year-old is in a Tulsa hospital with life-threatening injuries following a shooting in east Tulsa. Tulsa Police say the shooting appears to have been the result of a drug deal.

The shooting happened shortly before 3:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers say the shooting suspect and victim were inside the victim's vehicle at a gas station at 41st and Garnett. The suspect shot the victim once in the chest, and then left the victim at the gas station, according to police.

Police say the suspect left the scene in the victim's vehicle.

Officers say a Good Samaritan saw the victim and picked him up near a church across the street from the gas station.

The Good Samaritan called 911 and pulled over at 51st Street and U.S. Highway 169 to let medical personnel take over.

EMSA transported the victim to a Tulsa hospital.
