OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police arrested two men they say are connected to a robbery in a woman's car at Quail Springs Mall.

The incident took place about 11:15 a.m. Friday. While the lady was getting into her car, a man reportedly forced his way in, took her jewelry and then took off in her SUV. The woman was able to get away.

"She had apparently been followed around the mall prior to going to her vehicle, by this person," said Oklahoma City Police MSgt. Gary Knight. "It was completely unbeknownst to her. She wasn't aware anybody was even watching her."

Officers later arrested two men, Marion and Coriyon Johnson, trying to sell her wedding ring at a metro pawn shop. They then found her SUV at a nearby apartment complex.

Lance Moulder was the manager on duty when Marion and Coriyon Johnson attempted to pawn the ring at Extra Cash Pawn.

"It's rare you see a two carat stone in platinum coming into the pawn shop. That's how I knew something was wrong," Moulder said.

He added his suspicions were quickly raised again.

"This is an expensive ring and they only requested $60 for it. That was another spidey sense moment that yes something is wrong," Moulder said.

He recognized the ring because police had asked him and other nearby pawn shops to be on the lookout for it just a few hours earlier.

"Usually in these kinds of situations you never see that jewelry again. I feel bad for what that woman had to go through. Hopefully, the fact she got her wedding ring back and the suspects were arrested helps. We're in the business to help people with small loans, not to hoard stolen merchandise," the pawn shop manager said.
