TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police officers recovered nearly a quarter of a million dollars in marijuana during a routine traffic stop late Monday evening.

Police say officers pulled over a pickup truck in the 1400 block of East Jasper at 8 p.m. Monday, after the driver ran a stop sign.

Police say officers recovered eight black bags of marijuana in the bed of the Ford F-150 truck.

The eight bags of marijuana weighed in at 350.77 pounds.

Tulsa Police estimate the street value of the marijuana at about $250,000.

Police arrested the driver, 21-year-old Andrew Alvarado, and booked him into the Tulsa County jail on several drug-related complaints.
