TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Firefighters started voting Friday on a concession offer from the city that would cut their pay but save 147 jobs.

Firefighters will vote through Sunday and the results are expected to be announced publicly at 7 p.m.

If the union approves the concession deal, it would cut firefighters salary by more than 5%, along with benefits that mean some firefighters would lose as much as 12% of their income.

If the union turns down the concession package, the layoffs would take effect immediately and fire companies at ten stations across the city would be removed from service.
