NORMAN, OK -- One week after suffering its worst performance of the year, the Oklahoma defense bounced back in dominating fashion Saturday in a 27-0 victory in the Bedlam game.

Oklahoma State's zero on the scoreboard marks the first Bedlam shutout for OU (7-5, 5-3) since 1993, when the Sooners won 31-0. It also marks the 12th shutout of Bob Stoops' tenure as head coach.

The Sooners' defense suffocated Oklahoma State all day, but its dominance was particularly evident after halftime. In the second half, the Cowboys (9-3, 6-2) managed a total of just four yards and did not get a first down. The lack of offensive momentum resulted in OSU controlling the ball for less than six minutes in the second half.
