EDMOND, Oklahoma -- Edmond police are warning residents to keep a close watch on their homes because a recent increase in copper thefts.
Authorities say the thieves have gone after an oil rig, a cell phone tower and newly built homes.
Police say one home was stripped of $2,500 worth of copper from the attic.
Police are encouraging residents to set up security systems at their homes.
