STILLWATER, Oklahoma - After being upset at home against Houston the Oklahoma State Cowboys needed to turn around quickly, as the high octane Rice Owls come to T. Boone Pickens Stadium. The defense bounced back after an abysmal performance last week, holding the Owls to 21 points, making the final margin 41-21.

The Cowboys defense did give up a lot of yards however, surrendering 377 yards to the Owls, but stepped up when needed, holding Rice to 7-16 on third downs, and two three and outs late in the game when the Owls were trying to come back late in the 4th quarter.

Offensively, the Cowboys were waiting to gel, and the third week may have been the charm for the Cowboys, putting up 41 points offensively and averaged 11.4 yards per pass. Standout junior wide receiver Dez Bryant had his first huge game for OSU, with 9 catches for 161 yards and 2 scores.

Next up for the Cowboys are the Grambling State Tigers on September 26 at 6:00.
