Mother Accused of Murder in 3-Month-Old's Death

OKLAHOMA CITY - An Oklahoma City mother is accused of murder in the death of her 3-month-old son.

Oklahoma City police were called to a metro hospital on a child abuse complaint on August 28. Brittany Nabors, 20, brought her son, 3-month-old Jakori Nabors, to the hospital because he was having difficulty breathing and was unresponsive.

According to police, Brittany Nabors' story was inconsistent with the child's injuries and police subsequently transported her to police headquarters to be interviewed by detectives. After the interview, Nabors was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on one complaint of engaging in child abuse.

On September 6 police were notified that the child had died in the hospital.

Police said the charges against Nabors will be amended to one complaint of first-degree murder and two complaints of engaging in child abuse and one of child neglect.
