NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Officials at the University of Oklahoma have confirmed a case of H1N1 on campus.

Vice President of Public Affairs Catherine Bishop said an employee was tested for the H1N1 virus on August 5. The test came back positive for the virus on August 13, and the employee has since recovered.

Bishop said OU is taking precautions to prevent the virus from spreading including increasing hand sanitizing tools in restrooms and high traffic areas.

Tuesday, OU President David Boren sent a letter to the OU community including general information about the H1N1 flu and common methods of prevention.
