High-Speed Police Chase Sends 2 to Hospital

OKLAHOMA CITY - A high-speed chase this morning in south Oklahoma City sent two people to the hospital.

Police said they are not sure why the driver tried to run. After reaching speeds of up to 100 mph the chase ended when the car crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of S.W. 199th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

The male driver and a female passenger were both transported to OU Medical Center.

Pennsylvania Avenue was closed while police investigated the scene.
