Ardmore Police Chief To Retire After No-Confidence Vote

Ardmore Police Chief David Leonardo has announced his retirement after a vote of no-confidence from his force.

ARDMORE, Oklahoma - Ardmore Police Chief David Leonardo has announced his retirement after a vote of no-confidence from his force.

City Manager Dan Parrott said Leonardo submitted a letter announcing his plans to retire.

Leonardo will be on administrative leaving beginning at 5 p.m. until his retirement on March 6, 2010.

Two weeks ago, three-fourths of the members of the Ardmore Fraternal Order of Police passed a no-confidence vote against Chief Leonardo.
