North and Southbound I-44 Briefly Closes

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A downed power line caused by a tractor-trailer collision closed both the north and south bound lanes of Interstate 44 near SW 15th Street Tuesday afternoon.

At about 5 p.m. OG&E officials said all lanes were reopened. The lanes were briefly closed again between midnight and 4 a.m. Wednesday as OG&E crews worked to repair a power light damaged by Tuesday's accident.

No injuries were reported in Tuesday's accident.

It is unclear exactly how the tractor-trailer caused the downed power line.
