CLINTON, Oklahoma -- An Oklahoma man, known best for saving lives, lost his own in a motorcycle accident over the weekend.

Tim Sinor owned and operated Sinor EMS in western Oklahoma. He died in Rapid City, South Dakota Saturday after losing control of the motorcycle he was riding.

As an EMT, Tim Sinor saved dozens of lives over the years, but the medic that so many loved in Oklahoma, was also known on the east and west coasts by many A-list celebrities.

Flags fly at half staff in Clinton, headquarters of Sinor EMS and the home of Sinor's family.

"It's a personal lost for me. I have a great big hole inside of me right now," Clinton City Manager Grayson Bottom said.

Grayson Bottom said Sinor has been a vital member of this community for more than 20 years, not only as a corporate citizen, but also a personal friend. That's why the news of Sinor's death has had such an impact on so many.

"The work that he did impacted the lives of many, many families around here, not just in Clinton but in the entire region," Bottom said.

Tim Sinor's father started Sinor's EMS in Elk City close to 50 years ago. Tim moved the family's business to Clinton close to 25 years ago, according to city officials. Sinor EMS covers at least five communities across western Oklahoma.

Outside the state, Tim was better known for Sportchassis, his other Clinton-based business that designs and manufactures some of the most elaborate trucks in the world. His customers include some of Hollywood's biggest stars, like Shaquille O'Neal and Sean Combs.

Over the years, Sinor rubbed elbows with some big names, but his friends and family said his success doesn't come close to matching what really set Tim apart from the rest, his passion for helping and serving his Oklahoma family, friends and neighbors.

"He was a wonderful, wonderful human to all that knew him," Bottom said.

Tim and his co-workers were in South Dakota for the famous Sturgis Bike Rally when he was killed. He leaves behind three children and a wife.

Funeral services for Sinor are scheduled for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Clinton.
