OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police are investigating a homicide on the southwest side of the metro.

Police said they received a call about a man found dead inside a vehicle near Western Avenue and SW 84th Street.

The victim, 57-year-old Dwight Patrick, was found stabbed to death inside a Patrick's Plumbing truck. Neighbors said a longtime family friend may be responsible.

Dwight Patrick was a father of three boys and known by many as one of the most caring people out there, which is why family is having a hard time coping with what's happened.

"It's like I'm living in a dream and you can pinch me and wake me up, because my dad didn't deserve anything like this," said Dwight's son Westley Patrick.

Westley, the youngest of the three boys, said his dad was the kind of man he aspired to be.

"He was the greatest man that I could say have ever lived, better than any rock star because he was my rock star. He was everything inside my heart," Westley said.

The family is struggling after hearing Dwight was brutally murdered after being stabbed to death multiple times. He killed just a block from their family's house and just outside Mozelle Bass's home.

"It bothers you when someone you know has ended their live so tragically. It bothers because he's been a neighbor for so many years," Mozelle Bass said.

Family and friends believe the man responsible is Dwight's employee and long-time family friend. Westley Patrick said that man and his dad were working when they got in an argument over money.

"He will answer to the state and the law and worst of all two Jesus and that's not where he wants to meet," Westley said.

Westley Patrick said his dad's death is the second time he and his two brothers have dealt with something like this. He said his mother passed away when he was just 15-years-old.

While family said they know who's responsible for Dwight Patrick's death, police have not released a name. Oklahoma City police have only said they are looking for a Hispanic male.
