U.S. Lawmakers Call for National Ban on Texting While Driving

OKLAHOMA CITY -- U.S. lawmakers are proposing an ultimatum for states to ban texting while driving or lose funding.

Recent studies reveled texting while driving is even more dangerous than driving drunk.

If the senator's pass the legislation, states that do not ban texting while driving will lose federal highway funds.

Fourteen states have already outlawed texting while driving.
