OKLAHOMA CITY -- Three Oklahoma City banks were robbed Saturday morning.  One ended when an armed security guard shot and killed a would-be bank robber and wounded a man believed to be her accomplice.

According to the FBI a woman wearing a mask and armed with a pistol entered a Mid-First Bank branch, 2225 N. May, about 10 a.m. Saturday.

An armed security guard saw her as she walked in. The FBI said the guard shot her, and she later died at a hospital.  A man believed to be her accomplice then got out of a white vehicle outside the bank and attempted to shoot the guard through a glass window.

The FBI said the guard returned fire and struck the man. He was transported to a hospital and is in surgery.

The guard was treated for glass debris, and a pregnant female was transported to a hospital related to the incident.  She was not shot.

The names of the man and the woman have not been released.

A separate robbery occured at 11:08 a.m. at IBC Bank, 1924 N. Portland.  Police are searching for a black male, 6'1", 180 lbs., 30 to 40 years old, wearing shorts, light tank top, and an OU ball cap.

He left the bank north on foot.  He had a weapon which he displayed.  It was stored in an accordian style folder.

In a third robbery, the FBI is searching for a suspect in this morning's robbery of Bank of America, 2101 W. Memorial Road. The robbery occured at 11:15 a.m.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'10" to 5'11", 175 to 190 lbs., early 30's, wearing a camouflage visor with fake blond spiked hair attached, a goatee, dark colored long sleeved West Coast Choppers shirt, dark jeans or pants, and glasses.

He transported the money in a blue recycled trash can, and left eastbound on foot.  He used a note which stated that he had a weapon although none was seen.

There is a reward up to $2,000 being offered by the Oklahoma Bankers Association.  Anyone with information on these robberies should contact the FBI at 405-290-7770.
