A 3.4 magnitude earthquake rattled areas east of the Oklahoma City metro this afternoon.

McLOUD, OKLAHOMA - A 3.4 magnitude earthquake rattled areas east of the Oklahoma City metro this afternoon.

The United States Geological Survey reports the earthquake originated at 12:14 p.m. about 1 mile southeast of McLoud.

Amie Gibson with the Oklahoma Geological Survey said the quake was felt in Harrah, Jones, and McLoud.

Anyone who felt the quake can report it to the Oklahoma Geological Survey's Web site at www.okgeosurvey1.gov.
