OKLAHOMA CITY -- Amtrak's Heartland Flyer was stalled twice Saturday on its way to Texas.

The train left Saturday morning from Oklahoma City, but when it got to Davis, just north of Ardmore, the train hit a plow on the tracks.

The train got rolling again but broke down with an electrical problem just north of Sanger, Texas.

Amtrak officials said there were about 173 passengers on board the train. Sanger firefighters and police as well as Red Cross volunteers raced to the scene to provide water to passengers.

"We actually stopped and broke down for two hours with no AC. We're like ‘We're in a sauna,'" passenger Jennie King said.

Taxis and buses picked up the 173 passengers and transported them to their final destinations.

One man was taken to the hospital with chest pains. His name and condition have not been released.
