OKLAHOMA CITY -- President Obama focused on health care reform Wednesday. He met with a bipartisan group of governors on the issue and attended a town hall meeting Wednesday evening.

The President said he is looking to overhaul the nation's health care system and Congress is currently looking over the $1 trillion proposal.

At the town hall-style event from the White House's East Room, President Obama said insurance companies will make less profit on each patient if he gets his health care overhaul.
Insurers voiced their disapproval and said the President's plan to have them compete with a new government program would drive them out of business.

President Obama also pledged the final product would be done in partnership with states and insists that Americans won't be forced to switch plans or doctors under a government system.

Oklahoma Representative Republican Frank Lucas weighed in on the President's plan Wednesday. He said his greatest concern is cost and accessibility. He said he thinks the President is taking the wrong approach.

"Let's not mess up the good things we already have in health care in an effort to create something that will be a government run system that will be detrimental," Rep. Frank Lucas said.

The President is vowing he won't sign a reform bill that raises our nation's deficit, but the $1 trillion price tag is just one of the causes for concern on health care overhaul.
