PIEDMONT, Oklahoma -- A 14-year-old died after being ejected from his parents' car during an unsupervised ride early Wednesday morning.

The car, wrecked by Hestin Farris, was destroyed from front to back, according to Tom Westfaol of A-Z Towing.

The Piedmont teen was too young to have a license, and didn't have his parents' permission to be driving Wednesday morning.

"We just know that he was not given permission to drive, nor he should have been out there to our knowledge at that time of the morning," said Chief Jerry Keoster, of the Piedmont Police Department.

The Chief believes the car was travelling between 80 and 100 miles per hour. When it reached the crest of a hill, it may have gone airborne.

The car left the road, and Farris, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected.

"I think his chances were great, a lot greater, if he had had a seat belt on," Westfaol said. "Being ejected like that, your odds of dying are just so much greater."

The Medical Examiner removed the body from the scene around noon. Police said there was no evidence that alcohol was a factor in the fatality.
