Mechanic Run Over By Dump Truck

A mechanic has died after being run over by a dump truck on Interstate 35.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A mechanic has died after being run over by a dump truck on Interstate 35.

According to police, the dump truck was having troubles so the driver pulled off I-35 near Southeast 29th for a mechanic to take a look at the problem.

"Possibly some miscommunication between the driver and the mechanic," Oklahoma City Police Department Sgt. Mark Sexton said. "The driver attempted to move the vehicle and the mechanic was apparently underneath the vehicle at the time and he was subsequently run over by the dump truck driver."

No names have been released.
