OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma State Department of Health confirmed three new cases of the H1N1 virus (swine flu) in Oklahoma Thursday, one in Oklahoma County and the other two in Cleveland County.

The Oklahoma City-County Health Department Interim Director Robert Jamison announced Thursday that the case in Oklahoma County is a child in the Deer Creek schools. Shari Kinney, the administrator with Cleveland County Health Department, confirmed two cases Thursday of a teenager and an adult female.

This brings the number of confirmed cases in Oklahoma up to four.

The student in Deer Creek was out of school during the time in which the virus was extracted, but has returned to school fully recovered.

"We have been monitoring this case to limit exposure to others while confirmatory tests were pending. We have interviewed individuals who have been in contact with the patient and to date have not found anyone requiring testing," Jamison said.

The students' identity was never made public but the school was made aware of the illness and contacted the parents of those 3,400 students who never had contact with the sick child. Classes remain in session, and the district on high-alert.

"The district will continue season flu hygiene precaution and they'll remain vigilant for monitoring flu-like symptoms," Deer Creek Spokesman Jeff Knapp said.

No additional cases have been identified from contact with this child.

Kinney said the one case in Cleveland County was a high school student, the other was an adult female. Both people are fully recovered and stayed home during their exposure.

Kinney said it doesn't appear they exposed many people, but they are monitoring the situation.

The student and adult recently traveled out of state but Kinney said she is not aware that they traveled to Mexico.

All three of the cases recovered without hospitalization.
