OKLAHOMA CITY -- State and federal health officials have a warning for travelers. Anyone going to areas affected by the Swine Flu is being made aware to take precautions.

Washington officials are urging Americans against "non-essential" travel to Mexico. At Will Rogers World Airport, officials are staying on top of the situation but aren't doing anything different; however they do want travelers to take the necessary precautions.

People going in and out of Will Rogers are thinking about the latest flu outbreak.

"Everybody who is getting a cold is like, 'Oh God, maybe this is Swine Flu'," Noel Williams said.

It's definitely on Williams' mind.

He's flying home to California where the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have confirmed seven cases of the illness.

But Williams isn't panicking when it comes to travel.

"I would say yea, take whatever precautions you can, but there is only so much you can have control over," Williams said.

And that's what local travel agents are telling their clients who have trips booked to Mexico.

"Right now I know it is a concern, but I don't think they need to change their plans at this time," travel agent Angela Hendricks said.

Travelers at large airports in Texas are taking it a step further by wearing masks. People flying directly to and from Mexico are the most concerned.

"We brought the masks and will be washing our hands about 50 times a day," Bob Naverro said.

If you have a Mexico flight booked through Delta, America or United Airlines they are letting passengers cancel or rebook those flights without fees or penalties.
