16-Year-Olds Sentenced in Tulsa Robberies

Two 16-year-old Tulsans who pleaded guilty to several robberies have been sentenced as youthful offenders, which means they could end up serving time in an adult prison.

TULSA, Oklahoma - Two 16-year-old Tulsans who pleaded guilty to several robberies have been sentenced as youthful offenders, which means they could end up serving time in an adult prison.

Ismael Williams and Patrick Owen Johnson pleaded guilty to several robbery and assault charges, including one attack in which an Oklahoma Army National Guard member was stabbed.

In accordance with plea agreements, a Tulsa judge sentenced Williams and Johnson to 30 and 25 years, respectively, as youthful offenders.

The Office of Juvenile Affairs can retain custody and jurisdiction over the defendants until they reach the age of 18 years and 5 months, after which they can be discharged, put on probation or sent to adult prison.
