OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Fire Department responded Friday to a fire at the Christie's Toy Box, located at 1184 N MacArthur in Oklahoma City.
According to Deputy Chief Cecil Clay, the fire originated in the novelty store's attic. Clay said as the firefighters began to extinguish the blaze, the store's roof collapsed, forcing them to evacuate.
"We had to evacute the building and go to a defensive mode," Clay said. "We're in the process of just trying to get to the fire and put some water on it."
There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.
