Ingredients
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 smoked sausage, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups fresh greens or kale, roughly chopped
- 2 ribs celery, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic seasoning
- 1 teaspoon cajun seasonings
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 cups frozen black eyed peas
Instructions
- Prep: In a stock pot, drizzle a little olive oil in the bottom of the pan and sauté the green pepper, onions, celery, garlic powder and smoked sausage.
- Combine: Cook until sausage is browned.
- Mix: Sprinkle flour into the pan and stir for one minute.
- Mix: Add in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Combine: Stir in the black eyed peas.
- Cook: Cover and cook for 30 minutes over medium-low heat.
